What pills?
BC?
I think you can just start trying this cycle. And I would def make that appt with the gyno. Just to make sure everything is in order.

Re: not sure how to begin
The day after you take the last active pill it's out of your system. However, it may be a few months before your cycles become regular. You may have really long or short cycles for awhile. But you can start trying right away!

Re: not sure how to begin
once your done with your BC, then you could technically get PG at any point you stop taking it.
They say it may take up to 3 months or even more for your cycles to be regular. I was on BC for 11 years. I came off them in September. the 1st three months were like I was still on BC. Then my 4th cycle was 38 days and my 5th month was 36.
Everyone's body is different. after the 1st 3 months, I thought my cycles were pretty regular and only a 28-30 day cycle. boy was i wrong. You will have to get a feel for your cycles. I wasted so many HPT thinking I was late when really my cycles were longer. It took me awhile to figure that out.
It wouldn't hurt to contact and make an appt with your gyn to discuss what actions you can take to prepare.
You may want to start to taking prenatal vitamins and also start eating healthy, exercising and kicking any bad habits (not sure if you smoke or not)

This was the same exact thing that happened to me. The first 3 monts off BC I was exactly 28 days cycles and I thought I was set....couldn't be more wrong.
My last cycle was 35 days and this one is looking to be similar b/c I got my on CD21 and 22.
But as some of the other girls said, once you stop taking BCP, your "eligible" (for lack of a better word) to get PG. Good Luck!!

Re: not sure how to begin
thanks for responding ladies....i figured tech i could get preggers after stopping the pill. i always thought that it was smart to wait a month or so before trying so it's out of my system. i will follow your advice and allow my body some time to adjust to my new cycle.
any websites you find helpful??
