Finally some answers!!!!!
I know I may sound nuts for saying this, but I am so thrilled something is wrong with me!!!!
I went for extensive blood work and while not all results are back yet, one result came back quite clear. I am borderline diabetic. This gives me an insulin resistance, which affects ovulation and increases miscarriage. "very elevated hemoglobin a1c" is what they said. I am just so happy that something IS wrong, so that I can now fix it!
My OB is starting me on Metformin 500mg 1x per day. With any luck, I could be pregnant in the next couple of months.

I t actually makes sense, too since I was right on the line (literally) with GD in my 1st pregnancy.

Just make sure you are near a bathroom when you take it and have a meal. Sometimes people gte a bit "loose", sometimes nausea, etc
Good Luck with the medicine. Totally worth it, if it gets you PG!

Im on 1000 mg a day.. I have PCOS though. The main side effect I think I had in the beginning was upset stomach... nothing else... \

I just got off of Metformin after being on it for about 8 years. It never made my stomach upset however for the first month or so it left a metallic taste in my mouth. Monitor your symptoms because at first I started with Metformin and I felt it did nothing for me. They then had me try Glucaphage (I think Metformin is the generic form of Glucaphage) and it worked much better. I lost about 60 lbs and I no longer have to be on the meds! That's great! I know what a twisted feeling it is to WANT there to be something wrong  but it's great that there's a problem they can correct and bring you another step closer to that BFP!!!!
