Not on my side of the family. DH has a distant cousin who was in for something but I'm not sure what.
My grandfather was a cop and my BIL still is.

A few of my cousins are probably still in jail (mob related). We don't actually speak with them, but have seen their names in the newspaper.

Not currently.
I heard that statistic earlier too, about 1% of the population of America being in jail right now. That's horrifying. It's way higher than any other industrialized nation.

Not currently- one of my cousins is in and out.  They keep letting him out with the agreement that he's going to check into rehab for 6 months. As soon as he's done with the first week in rehab he checks himself out...then there's a warrant out for him.
There should be rehab IN Jail.
(PS- he lives in California-so I think they let him out for rehab b/c of overcrowding.)
It wouldn't even matter - they are able to get drugs IN jail ...the jail system is pathetic
