No- but I literally JUST finished reading an article in the paper about how the statistic is now 1 in 100 adults are in jail in the US in 2008.

Not currently, but one of my dad's cousins was in jail for a few years. She was convicted of attempted murder when she found her DH in their bed with another woman. He was a cop and she grabbed his off duty piece and started firing away.
And one of my underage step brothers has been in jail a few times for drinking/drugs/violating probation.
Oh, I forgot that my brother has BEEN to jail, but on the other side of the bars, he's a police officer.

I wouldn't call her a friend- but a former co-worker committed a terrible, terrible crime (twice)- and is now in jail because of it.

People in my family been to jail. An ex boyfriend of mine is currently serving a 4 year sentence..and another ex--everyone in jail knew him by name. lol.
I've only bailed out lol

growing up I was never allowed to know anything about "that side" of the family - but we (me and my silblings )were always fascinated by it- I think it's normal to feel that way
but I recently was told everything - and I had no idea the role him played in an historic crime (against another mobster - not a regular person- not that it makes it ok)
