Do you keep all of your texts?
Do you keep all of your texts on your phone? Or do you clean them out once in a while?
I keep pretty much every text I get.

I hate keeping endless texts on my phone. The only text string that I leave and never delete is with my husband. Every other text in my phone gets deleted. Anything of importance in a text that I need to reference back to I'll just screenshot.

I don't delete my texts but I thought that with an Iphone, the older texts sort of delete themselves?

I wish I knew how to download them easily so I can keep the ones from certain people, then delete so I can save space.

I have a Saumsung and I think there is a setting where you can tell it how many texts to save
For example I think mine is set to 200. So after 200 texts in the same string, the older ones auto delete

I only keep certain texts, like the ones from my niece and nephew, some from my husband.
The text that says "go right" meaning when I get off the train at night does not need to be saved.
My niece texting "love you" does.

I clean them out when I start running out of space. That's the only time I clean up my phone. I couldn't tell you how many pictures I have of shopping lists or random blurry shots I accidentally took lol

I also feel like when i want to text someone, it's just easier to go into my texts and find the latest trail with that person and reply to it then go to my contacts and scroll through to find them and hit new text, etc

My phone only saves the last 250 texts. So it kinda just cleans itself out automatically. I don't have the time to sit and decide what texts I might need vs which I can delete (just so I can save a tiny spec of space on my phone) lol.
Also, like a PP said, it's easier to just go to my texts and hit reply, than it is to scroll through my contacts to start a new convo every time I have to text someone.

The only threads I save are the ones between me and my DH and between me and my siblings. Everything else gets deleted as I need the space.

I never delete them but I am planning to get a new phone. I noticed I was using 6 gb of storage of my phone so time to erase

Yes and I hate when they get deleted by me accidetnally or right now where my iophone stopped working and I am using an old one and can't restore my backup 
I have on many occasions look back on texts for information I may not remember but I also keep all my work email just in case one day I will need them.
I have been with my company for 13 years so I have lots of emailed stored
