Do you send a check with a "no" RSVP to a wedding?
My cousin (who I am not close with at all) is getting married this summer a few states away but I will be almost 8 months pregnant and my husband has work, so I'm not going to be able to make it. Would you send a check with the RSVP card? For how much?

I send a check with a card if I'm close with the person, if I'm not that close I just include a check and write a lil note on the rsvp card

I would send in the no rsvp card now, and send a wedding card with a check shortly before the wedding.

Yes. I usually just send a check with the reply.
ETA usually I give $50, more if it is close family/friend.

For family and close friends, I'd send a card saying sorry we can't be there blah blah blah with the response card and a check inside. I give what I would give if I went. I personally understand the thinking of not giving the same just because I am not at the party. For everyone else I just send the RSVP card - no check.

I've done it both ways. For my wedding, I definitely didn't mind getting checks in my No RSVPs.

I send a card with gift around the time of the wedding
Edited to add: I'd send $50 check. That's more than enough with a no reply for someone you aren't close with

I send a check back with the rsvp unless it's someone I'm not close to or distant family and then I've sent a smaller gift off the registry

I was just in this EXACT situation, except I am not pregnant, I did not want to travel so far for one night and kids weren't invited so we could not go more than one night bc my in laws will only watch them for one night. I sent $100, we are not close but he is family.

I would not send money back with the RSVP. That seems just super weird. I would however, mail them a wedding card closer to their wedding date.

It depends on the relationship. I have just sent a No with nothing further, but mostly I have either sent a small registry gift or a check with a card closer to the wedding. Probably around $50-$100.
