3 month old spitting up in morning?
The past 2 mornings just about when DD is waking up for the day she gags/coughs and then a little bit of spit up comes out of her mouth (at least I think it's spit up but without glasses on I can't be 100% sure ). The weird thing is she hadn't eaten since 9pm the night before. Any idea why this would happen?

I guess spit up? What's the difference? I changed the original post because I'd guess it's spit up and I don't want anyone to think a lot is coming out. It's only a tiny bit.

Dd used to spit up all the time. Not just in a full belly.
Could be a little reflux

It's probably just saliva that accumulated over night if it's clear.

Sounds like reflux? Try lifting the head of the crib to see if that helps.

Normal. Babies have immature digestive systems. The flat doesn't completely close yet, so things come up more easily! Time will help. As long as the baby isn't physically uncomfortable there's nothing to do or worry about.
