Daycare and pumped bottles - how many, how much?
Obviously I have no idea how much ds eats throughout the course of the day. Ds will be at daycare from 7-4:45. I was planning on giving 4 4 ounce bottles. I also provided them with a supply of frozen milk as a back up. As I wrote in the previous post, he snacks a lot - would it be better to provide 5 3 ounce bottles instead?
Thanks!

Have you tried bottle feeding yourself to see how much she'll eat? How much does she eat then?

Daycare and pumped bottles - how many, how much?
DS is 3 months old and i have him on a schedule of eating every 3.5-4 hours a day. I just returned to work and had to leave him with bottles and to be safe, i would leave 6 ounces. Turns out he takes between 4-5 ounces so now i just leave 5 ounce bottles.
is your LO on a schedule? i would probably try to put him on one to make it easier for daycare and for you. i personally would stick with larger bottles in hopes that he can space out his feedings longer and not "snack" as much. i hated when ds would snack - i felt like he spent too much time on my boob...so i started increasing the amount of time to nurse him which then let him go these 4 hour stretches during the day.

He's on a loose schedule and is a better eater during the day than in the later afternoon/evening. I'm going to start with 4 ounces I think and see how things go.

I would send as small as possible so none gets wasted.
Also I work full-time and still feed on demand. You don't need to put her on a schedule. She will get on one at daycare on her own.

Daycare and pumped bottles - how many, how much?
DS will be 4 months this week and takes 3 5 oz bottles between 8:30 and 5 at daycare. I notice that he will nurse more often when I am home with him than bottles at daycare. I also left frozen milk the first 2 weeks as a backup just in case. DS wasn't used to bottles at first so the first week or two was a big adjustment for him.
