Mommy separation
DD is 10 months now, and for the past few weeks she has been crying inconsolably if I am present and not holding/playing with her. If I'm not in the picture, she's absolutely fine. I feel terrible - I feel like I can't even be around my own child. I can't put her in the stroller, down on the floor in the house, anything without a tantrum ensuing. Oddly enough, she goes into bed no problem at night luckily.
At this point should I just let her cry and learn that I can't hold her 24/7, or should I give her what she "needs"? It's honestly at the point that DH has to do 100% of the housework, meal prep, etc. so that I can stay with DD. We can't even go to stores or have a day out because she will just scream unless she's held. It's seriously interfering.
Any advise would be appreciated.

I would let her cry at this point. It may be an unpopular answer but she is old enough now that yes they can be spoiled and learn bad habits.

i agree with this
dd is 8.5 months and shes going through something similar...she is happy with me but as soon as i give her to DH or anyone she cries. we let her cry and within a few minutes she stops.
i do however sit and play with her on the floor, and then i try to get up while shes distracted by toys and that usually works as long as dh or someone else is on the room with her

i agree with this

ITA. Maybe a month or 2 ago, DS started crying when I leave for work int he morning. The nanny just plays with him to distract him and he's fine. Recently he's also started crying when I leave the room, even if he's with DH. I think it's just separation anxiety and is a totally normal phase they'll outgrow.

DD went through this starting like 10 months too, and even if DH was holding her, and I step away from her she would cry hysterically. I did the best I can.. maybe I spoiled her but I couldn't stand her crying that for me.  I don't know if that was the right or wrong thing to do.. I just went with my gut and at almost 2, she is much better but still has those days.
