When did you move your DC To a Toddler Bed?

1 month shy of 3rd birthday - he never climbed out but nanny could not lift him out of crib - he was not ready at the time either - he had to sleep in a tent and will still sleep at almost 4 in a pack and play when we travel

I say go with them - they can be very comfortable in them

I moved DD#1 a bit before she was 3, and only because she was climbing out, which made me a nervous wreck.

DD#2 is 4 and is still in the crib. She has climbed out (aka fallen out) twice, but I raised the side rail up to make it harder for her to climb out. She is just safer in there than she ever will be in a bed (she has a developmental delay). We are in the process of getting a bunk bed where she can still be enclosed, but in a bigger area. But she still sleeps well in the crib, so we are ok with it for now.
