did your child poop more?

and also how was it..sorry lol

ds went from being so constipated and maybe going every 4 days to know on the gentlese going 4-5 times a day

they are not big amounts...but they are kinda mucousy...sorry

is it from the change? he is also teething if that matters

with similac sensitive, DD hardly pooped. she would poop like every 36 hours. it was awful.

shes on Alimentum now and poops 3-6 times a day!

What did you switch him from? If he was on something with iron it can constipated a bit. DD was on similac advance rtf since birth and always poooped once every 3 days but dark diarea. Ped said its fine because she is happy and gaining (??). Switched to bjs brand powder and she has yellow diarea after each feeding. Back to the similac but powder and black diarea every 3 days. Lol. We are trying similac sensitive now but she hasn't been on long enough to see a poop difference. Lol. There was a period of mucous poops too when she started teething more.

Teething can cause mucousy poops too because drool can't be digested.

DD on aliumentum poops 3-4 times a day.

I should buy stock I'm pampers!!

Yes. The formula not only impacted how often he pooped, but the way the poop looked.

We switched DD to gentlease. At first the poops were HUGE, smelly and often. After a few weeks, things got MUCH better. I think it takes time for their bodies to adjust.

I think it's normal. We switched DS from sensitive stomach enfamil to nutramigen and in the beginning his stools were really loose and mucousy. I called the drs office and they said it was normal and it would take time for him to adjust to the new formula. He's been on the new formula a few months now and his stools have never been better.

I have been breast feeding DD but supplementing with formula... Used similac advance first few weeks and she started to get really gassy, so I switched her to similac sensitive, helped with gas right away but then she didn't poop for 8 days! I switched her back to similac advance, pooped a couple of hours later but then the gas pains returned. Finally got her on enfamil gentlease, she wouldn't take it the first day I tried ( on day 4 of no poop with similac sensitive) but the second time she took it and has been on it ever since. Shes doing so much better on it, poops vary but tend to be once a day or so, and it's a doozy lol... Sometimes more "normal" more than once a day. Very happy with the gentlease so far!!

We started with Similac Advanced, but DD was having like 6 poops a day, all pretty loose and some pretty mucousy. Ped switched us to Alimentum which reduced the frequency of poops to about 1 - 2 a day, but they were HUGE, somewhat loose, and just overall gross. DD also hated Alimentum, and would pretty much throw up after every bottle.

Milk Allergy test came back negative, so we made a final switch to Sensitive. She's been on it for 2 weeks and so far so good! She poops 1 - 2x a day and they are not loose. It's also reduced her gas, hiccups and spitting up.
