DD is telling me when she pee's in her diaper and then wants to be changed

What is the next step? She will go lay down on the area rug and throw her legs in the air waiting for me to change her . She is also almost 22 months and I never had this with my other 2. I tried putting her on the potty and holding her but she is scared. I made a pretend peeing sound gave her toilet paper and she tried to wipe herself, then we flushed and said yay! Is it time to by a toilet ring and just put her on before baths?

I'd buy a toilet ring and put her on more and more. See if she takes to it. Is she waking up dry in the morning? If so, sounds like she is ready to potty train!

My daughter has been doing the same since 20 months. At almost 2, I think she is ready. We will be starting in the next month or so.

This sounds like my ds. he was scared to sit on the toilet at first but I carried him in there with an ice pop (because it takes time to eat) & made up a funny song about him making peepee on the potty & he relaxed.

Absolutely try. My mom trained us at 2. I don't believe that all kids need to wait until 3 plus.
