if you took your glucose test...
.. how did you feel afterward, did the drink make you queasy? Should i bring anything in particular to drink or eat afterwards? I'm going tomorrow morning and then straight to work after so just want to be prepared, thanks!

I was nauseous afterwards (but that wasn't new for me). Definitely bring a snack and a bottle of water.
eta: Make sure you bring this for AFTER the test. I wasn't allowed to eat or drink anything for the hour.

I drank the drink with no issue at all. Didnt make me quesy. I had the orange flavor tasted like really really sweet orange soda. After the test I think i ate a granola bar and had some water. I didnt have much of an appetite when i was pregs LOL

after you drink it aren't allowed to eat or drink anything until you get the blood test.
this time I was crashing from the sugar surge.. so after the bloodwork I was exhausted!!!! and just felt a little weak.
drink it COLD!!! It's not bad... taste like HiC

I felt fine with the 1 hr, I think you're able to have water through the test, and then I had a granola bar when I left because I had gone to the test fasting, and there was no way I could keep going through the rest of my day without eating something

I had the same experience. I believe I got a bagel afterwards and just went home. I decided to have my test on a Sat morning.

I felt fine with the one hour test. The 3 hour however is not fun, def felt dizzy and faint afterwards.

No drinking water during the 1-hour. At least I was told not to.
I felt totally fine. Just hungry after because it was first thing in the morning and I didn't eat beforehand. I think I grabbed some breakfast right after.

i did both and felt fine. I had alot of energy after the 3 hr test and then crashed hard in the afternoon.

I felt fine aftetwards. Ask if you can have a cold drink as opposed to room temp. And ask for the orange flavor. It tasted like orange soda to me.

Thanks all! I took the orange bottle versus the clear... thankfully i did not feel sick but i did have heartburn afterwards for some strange reason. The lady told me i could not have any water though or anything. Hopefully everything comes out ok!!!
I am now treating myself to a whole wheat everthing bagel with veggie cream cheese

Ahhhh sounds DELISH!!!!
My office told me I could eat eggs beforehand (no sugar or carbs) and then drink the mixture at 8:15 am for my 9:15 am appt. She said I must fast but only from 8:15 to 9:15 so I think I will be okay... Fingers crossed!

I was fine after (but I did not have to fast my Dr wanted me to have an egg with a slice of toast) I remember with my DS I wasn't sure if I had to fast (went to a different dr than I do now) so I fasted and I felt sick after until I was able to eat something.
