What do you guys think of this..
Just had to share.. A friend of mine works with a girl who just had a baby in November. She makes any visitors wash their hands 3 times with 3 different kinds of antibacterial soap and everyone MUST wear a mask over their mouths when they enter the house.  Isn't this the most ridiculous thing ever? The baby is perfectly healthy also.

I think when the baby actually gets sick the mother may have a heart attack.
I can see asking people to wash their hands once but three times and wear a mask little crazy.

IMO a little crazy. I mean if the baby was a preemie or sickly I could understand but for a healthy baby that's over the top.
I'm not even that much of a stickler about hand washing anymore. DH and I do but a lot of times with visitors I just forget. 
We do have Purell out and people do use that.

I see washing the hands, but 3 times come on....wearing masks is a little extreme. Most Germs can escape out of the mask anyway. She will get over it as time goes on.

I think it's over the top unless there is some kind of auto immune thing going on.
Joseph was a preemie - I made everyone wash their hands for about the first 3 weeks. Then after that I had the ....eh a little dirt won't hurt 'em.

I think that is a bit excessive.
IMO, you need some germs so your body can learn how to fight them and build immunities against them.

exactly. if she keeps it up, the kid is going to be screwed when s/he goes to school or even anywhere near other kids- their body won't know what hit it

That is excessive!!! The baby needs to be "dirty" like the rest of us. Wash your hands -- okay. Scrub like you're going into surgery??? Over the top.

that is a little extreme sorry but washing hands once is morethen enough or even having them use the purell or something is good enough in my book but the mask come on
