I brought my own PJ's with me but ended up just wearing the hospital gowns while I was there. It was easier since I was constantly having my incision checked and vitals taken after my C-section plus I was BF'ing and it was just easier to feed her and work with the lactation consultant while wearing the hospital gown.

I hated the gown... I hated feeling "open" down there...
The hospital gown was uncomfortable and I COULD NOT wait to take it off...
ITA- As soon as I showered that gown went in the garbage. I hated feeling all open. I wore a t-shirt and comfy sweats my whole time in the hospital and I did BF. Plus with all the bleeding, I felt more covered in PJ pants. I didn't ruin mine either.

Bring the pants just in case.
I wore the hospital gown all four nights. It was perfect for nursing, going to the bathroom, having the nurses clean me up.

When I had my two other boys, I had brought some comfy PJ's with me but nothing that I loved. The first time had a nightgown that I had bought just to bumb around in but I had wished I bought a pant set.
So, with DS#2 I brought a two piece loose set with me and felt very comfortable. I also found that having the two piece made it more comfy for me to nurse.
As for birth, you should definately wear the gown - which might be off by the end anyway. Most likely right after you have the baby you will have that on the rest of the day.

(sweat suits) I wore BIG COMFY underwear and I brought POISE pads, since the hospital pads didnt stick to my underwear. The POISE pads are really like diapers so they absorb SOOO MUCH!!! You do bleed alot, but these worked best for me!
At night I wore PJ's....
Im not even packing a gown this time around!
ETA- Never did a drop of blood ever get on any article of clothing!
I have a totally dumb question, but are you saying that even if you get a c-section, you still bleed vaginally?
Yep- I bled for about 6 weeks...

I just wore sweats and a shirt. I didnt even wear my PJs because I didnt watn to walk up and down the halls in my PJs. Lots of people are always in the maternity ward.

Yep- I bled for about 6 weeks...
Me too. I bled for exactly six weeks and then two weeks later, i got AF. It sucked to bleed for 6 weeks.
