progesterone suppositories
Has anyone had to take to progesterone suppositories? I just got them today. And there is no applicator! I'm assuming I have to use my finger ! How do I know if I got it far enough up? And did anyone have trouble getting the suppository out of the casing? I just tried to do it and the stuff falls apart! help!

Don't play around with them too much or they will turn to mush--make sure they stay cold in the fridge. Mine came with an applicator but honestly my finger worked much better. You will know when you have it far enough up because it stays put. I've had so many fall right back out

Re: progesterone suppositories
mine come with applicators. Its actually a pill that goes into the applicator, and its very easy to use. Its called Endometrin.
Perhaps you can just use your finger and get it alllllll the way up there as far as it goes? Or, call the dr. and ask.

Re: progesterone suppositories
Mine came with an applicator but i found a lot of times it just used to stick in the applicator and come right back out. After a couple of weeks I just started using my finger, it was a lot easier. Pretty much you just shove it up as far as you can reach, and it should stay. Also make sure to wear pantyliners.

Re: progesterone suppositories
I have had 2 different kinds, one that looked like a capsule (that one had no applicator you had to use your finger) and the other was endometrin (which came with an applicator). You just have to puch it up until you cant push anymore. if you want an applicator you can try calling the pharmacy or buying one of the monistat kits and using the applictor

Re: progesterone suppositories
You're not supposed to take the progesterone out of the capsule. Insert it with your finger as far as it will go! I've been doing them for weeks now, and they get much easier. Definitely wear a pantyliner!
