My mom and dad's parents were friends. My dad had just come back from Hawaii and my mom was going there the next month. So my dad came over to show her pictures and tell her all the hot spots. They wound of hitting it off and 6 months later they were engaged.

I love my parent's story... My mom was a dancer on a cruise ship and my dad was the youngest maitre'd on the seas. They met and started dating and everyone told my mom : don't go for him, he's a player and has a new girl at every port." They told my dad, "don't date her because she's Jewish and she'll be materialistic." 40 years later, they're still together.

My dad's brother married my mother's cousin and they were both in the bridal party!

They met in elem school at age 12 - by 13, they were "boyfriend and girlfriend", and they married at 21. Its so cute to look at all their prom/dance pics - they went to everything together!
