my mom was my aunt (dad's sis) supervisor, aunt introduced them one night.

My Mom was a secretary for my Father's Boss

This is how the story goes:

Mom had a crush on my Dad (mom was only 16.. Dad was like 23 .. scandalous)

Mom's older cousin (female) used to work with Dad in a restaurant (dad was cook, cousin was waitress) and my Mom would purposely go see her cousin EVERY DAY for a 'snack' so she could drool over my Dad.

Dad told cousin "she (mom) is a babe but waaaay too young"

Mom told cousin "who cares about age, THAT is the man I'm gonna marry"

Cousin sets them up .. must resistance from parents (you are too young, etc.. parents basically dated "on the sly" since grandparents did not approve)

2 yrs later, Mom and Dad are married (yup Mom was only 18 .. Dad, 25 )

46 years later, happily ever after

my mother dated my dad's friend for 3 years and broke up with him shortly after HS ended. One day she ran into my dad and he asked her how her boyfriend was (his friend who he hadn't seen in a few months) and she told him they broke up.
My dad then asked her out, canceled the date, asked her out, canceled again and asked her out again. Finally she gave him an ultimatum - either date me or don't but then leave me alone. So he finally took he out on New Year's in 1967 and he's been in luuv ever since. LOL.

My mom's best friend and dad's best friend were dating and they set them up. They were 17 and 19.

My mom loves to tell people how loaded my dad was on that first date and how she only went out with him because he looked like George Harrison.

My parents met at the World's Fair in Queens. She was a show girl and he fell for her immediately. He kept going back and following her around. One day, he followed her to her other job where he then ran around the corner and bought a bunch of flowers. Somewhat stalkerish but still romantic.

My mother was my dad's sister's friend. My dad was in the army, came home, met my mother and they eloped to Dallas weeks later.

My dad was my uncle's (mom's brother's) best friend.

My mother was best friends with a girl named Lynn. They hung out for years and my mother knew she had brothers - one that lived in California and another that still lived at home.

Well one day, leaving school Lynn said to my mother, I have to go tell my brother something. Well, Lynn walked over to this guy told him whatever she had to and walked back over to my mother. My mother said to her - who was that - Lynn said my other brother. My mother didn't know she had 3 brothers.

They started dating shortly after that and the funny thing was that they lived a block away from each other.

My parents knew each other in high school and hated each other. My mom thought he was a player and he thought she was a prude.

A year or so after High School my father's older sister was killed in a car accident coming home from college. My mom heard about it and then happened to see my dad out one day and went over to tell him how sorry she was because she knew they were close.

4 months later they were engaged. 33 year later they are still one of the happiest couples I know.

My parents were next door neighbors and my Grandmothers DID NOT like one another. SO when they started dating it was not a big happy thing.

The divorced 11 years later and my mom met my stepdad (they have been married over 20 years) at a single parents group.

They met at a dance in the Rockaways on the beach back in 1960. Apparently that was the place for young Irish people to meet as a few of our family friend's parents also met that way.

My mom was only in this country for three days when she met my dad. Took me 33 years to find my husband
