Actually my comments was directed at the entire puggle thing and it not being a breed. It has been debated more than once.

Just to clarify I don't intend to buy from a puppy store, I am looking to adopt. I recently saw one in a puppy store while just looking and fell in love but I didn't purchase. I have read about the puppy mills and what goes on and I remembered that.
Sorry for all of these bad vibes going on here. That was not my intentions at all.

I'm so glad you posted again. It gives great clarity as to why we should give benefit of doubt to those asking questions.

wow- this is nuts-
i have 2 puggles AND I WOULDNT TRADE THEM FOR ANTYHING!!!
they are the best dogs, they make you smile, cuddle with you, play with you, and they are fantastic with our 8 month old daughter.
yes i understand how terrible puppymills are,
but these dogs are still are still out there for sale, i would never buy a dog again but if NO-ON bought these dogs, where would these dog wind up? at a kill shelter? why should a loveable adoreable little puppy suffer for what his stupid creator did?????????????
i can totally say these dogs are mutts- i dont care, i love them and i paid for my mutts- i would do it again in a heartbeat- but there are ones out there on petfinder.
many people have different views in life, i dont think its fair, if someone has made a decision to get a puggle that she gets bashed for her decision, she wasnt asking for anyones input about the puppymills, she decided that was the dog that might be best for her and her family-

On the beagle side, they tend to develop problems with their backs and spines if they are climbing stairs and jumping. It's hereditary and can be passed down from the parents.
My MIL's beagle is recovering as we speak after a $5000 surgery to help alleviate her pain. She is not even 5 years old and was completely paralyzed from the disc problem.

all she asked was the difference between 1st and 2nd generation dogs and if they were good with kids...then BOOM everyone started the whole Puppy Mill Pet store stuff in everyone's face again

On the Pug side, although I love my pug...he has skin problems and breathing issues that cause him to snore. He also has a tendency to get fat (they are prone to weight issues) and coupled with the back problems of the beagle this could compound and create a painful and expensive issue for this mix.

Thank you again to all of the people who gave me the benefit of the doubt and stuck up for me and answered my questions. But I am glad you came back and are really doing your research. I hope you find the perfect doggie to bring into your home. Definitely post if you need help finding anything on petfinder!

I don't know if anyone posted, but someone on here was looking to find a home for a puggle......maybe FM them & ask about that specific dog's temperament, etc.

sorry Diane but that is simply not true. ....many people stated that you CANNOT judge whether a mixed breed will be good with kids because you never know which traits they will inherit. Only ONE person mentioned PM in the beginning

my dad has a PUGGLE and hes great with dd who is 3.5m, hes a doll.. he will be 2 in may. If you do adopt one, beware they are on the hyper side, it was just listed in the paper a few months ago, that alot of people were dropping them off at shelters b/c they couldnt handle them. Puggles are not meant for people who arent home much. (but i guess no animal is)

I agree with you. I have a Boxer. Pure breed if that's important to some of you. I am a dog lover, regardless of where it came from.
I am a newbie here as well, and jesus I will be thinking twice before posting a question here. Seems like there is lots of anger and whatnot...we are all here to learn and educate one another NOT to bash or ridicule each other.
