You're way to relax
how do you all relax from the stressful work place. i've been stressed out with work the last few weeks. a vacation for me is doing me wonders. i've been in florida since saturday. i'll be back to the real world on monday

I don't drink- I usually just take a long hot bath and try to just relax... when I can't do that I'll either take a long walk w/ my dog or just get out of the house w/ DH and go to our favorite restaurant.

It depends. When I need to truly de-stress & be away from it, I take a weekend away.
Otherwise, I go for a nice long walk outside, listen to my ipod while sitting in the backyard, shop, visit with my nephews...

After DS is in bed, the feet go up and I'm either in bed or on the couch.
During the day, I take DS on a nice long walk.
We read books.
Stretching.
Vacation was GREAT too.

It seems crazy since I work in I.T. but at night I 'play' on my computers,
But to REALLY get away I get away from the house somewhere without a computer....such as the beach house!

It depends on what's stressing me out at work.
If it's a big project or tight deadline - I just focus on getting it done.
If it's office politics or something related to co-workers or management, I sort of sulk it out until it turns around.
Most of the time, when work is really getting to me, it's because something bigger is going on in my personal life and try to focus my attention there.

I make stuff, it takes my mind away from work crapola because I have to concentrate on what I am doing, it's hard to stay angry or upset when I'm quilting, painting, crocheting, planning remodels..... this may stress DH out a little because I have about 50 projects going at any given time.
I also like to take hikes, go for a run along the canal - basically I just divert the energy somewhere else

For me, it's getting a pedicure with a leg massage. It definitely helps relive the stress.

DD and I have dance time when Iget home from a stressful day. I put on some music and rock out with my 2 year old!
I take a hot bath with candles, read, go for a walk if the weather is nice.

i havent relaxed in a LOOOONG time. I go from work to home with 2 kids and to another job and school. I look foward to relaxing in about 5 years.
