Your Schedules

In reading MissJones' post about what you do that is "smart", I started thinking about a post from awhile ago where everyone posted their schedules.

I never feel like I have time in my day to do anything, and I am wondering how you ladies "fit it all in". I NEED to start going to the gym.

Would you mind posting your typical week day schedule?

I will start:

7-7:30am: Wake up & get ready for work
7:30: Feed Cats, grab lunch for work
7:40: Commute to work
8:15am - 6:15pm: Work
7:00pm: Home, Feed Cats, cook dinner, clean up, talk on phone to family / friends, watch tv, see DH
11:30pm: Bed

6am-6:15am: Wake up Chat Icon

6:15-7:30: feed the animals, make beds, lunches, get ready for work.

7:30-8:30: commute to work

5:30: head home from work

*If I go to gym* 6pm-7:30pm: Gym
*If not, I'm home by 6:30pm*

Home by 7:30 the latest usually: cook dinner, walk dog, watch some TV, hang out w/ DH for a bit, straighten up/clean the apartment (if it needs it)

10pm: in bed

ETA: I joined a new gym back in the summer that is on my way home from work, so I don’t have to go out of my way which makes it easier to fit in. I go about 3 days a week then I work out at home doing yoga and weight training on the weekends.

Why not go to bed an hour earlier and get up an hour earlier to go to the gym? Or, go to the gym right after work and eat a little later?

You have a 3-hour block of time at the end of the day that you can shuffle around a bit if you want to fit it in. Plenty of cushion. I'm lucky if I get home 2 hours before I have to go to bed -- and that time has to fit in cooking and dinner...

During the Summer, my hubby and I go bike riding for one hour on Saturday and Sunday. During the Fall Months I go to school for four hours on Saturdays starting around 8am meaning I leave the house at 7:30am. During the cold winter months, no workout is in our schedules.

All I can say is I am jealous my hubby works so close to home, his hours are much more manageable than mine

When it's NOT tax season
5:45am - get up
6:20am - go to the gym & get ready for work at the gym
8:30am - go to work, it's like 1 minute from the gym
6pm - leave work, if I'm lucky, I always work late
6:30ish - get home, eat dinner, hang out with DH and our cats
9:30pm - go to bed

When it's tax season:
5:45am - get up
6:30am - go to work
minimum, 7am - 7pm - work, work, work, don't even go to lunch
7pm - 9pm leave work (I usually work 12 - 15 hours a day during tax season)
9:30pm go to bed.
It's a really tough few months, but it goes by really fast!

Re: Your Schedules

Mon, Wed, Fri wake at 6 for 7 am train
Tues, Thurs wake at 4:45 for 5:45 am train.
In the hour before I leave the house I shower, dry hair, put on foundation (I finish the rest of my make up on the train), feed the cats, scoop their litter and then head out.
I work every day to 5:15 regardless of what time I start. Some days I work past 6 or even 7.
If I finish on time I get home at 7, start dinner and get on the elliptical for 20 minutes.
We have usually finished eating dinner and cleaning up by 8:30 and I do a combo of TV and laundry before going to bed at 11 pm.
