I started in a group and hated it. I moved to a private practice and love it so much. My daughter is not a number on a chart, she's known by name. That's important to me. ANd our dr. is available really any time we need him.

I use a solo practitioner and I adore him! The office is open Mon-Sat and also utilizes 2 NPs. I have never had a problem getting a sick visit appt same day, even on a Sat. He is located in Sayville.

Private single doctor- there are no nurses only a receptionist. I like it b.c I always only deal with the doctor. He gives all shots, answers all questions, doesn't have an answering service so you get him personally on the phone - nights and weekends (even at 3am when DD had spasmodic croup once).
we go to the same ped.

i guess technically it's a group but it's only 2 docs who have worked together for at least 40 years. there are no NPs, other docs, etc.
i'd consider it more private. i never wanted a big group practice for either my ped or obgyn

small group... 3 Peds and they're all terrific. Three young women in their 40's. I don't care who we get.
We go to the same practice!! Love them!!

We were originally at a group practice but left (for something separate) and now we are at a privat practice. I see the doctor here every single time and we move in and out of the office faster than the old place.
