yet another coxsackie question

DD was definitely exposed to coxsackie over the weekend. Today she has what looks like a rash on her butt and little spots on different parts of her legs and arms. Could that be it? No temp though...

Re: yet another coxsackie question

I think the incubation period is 7 days but there are so many strains, it is hard to tell. I would wait to see if it clears by tomorrow on it's own, and if not call the dr. My kids had it for 3/4 days tops with very high fevers and no rashes. It was just blisters on their throat.

Re: yet another coxsackie question

My son had a fever for 2 days firt, and then he had spots on his butt and legs. Daycare called and by the time I get there he had some spots on his arms. When I got to the doc he looked in his throat and saw some spots I couldn't see myself with a wriggling toddler. I read that the incubation period can be 3-7 days.

Re: yet another coxsackie question

My son started out with a high fever, that only lasted a very short time. Then he broke out in spots on his legs mostly, some on his belly, and one on his face.

Maybe she had the temp throughout the night and you werent aware of it. I would bring her to the dr, because it is going around like crazy. Good luck!
