Coxsackie question.......
How long after exposure does a child develop symptoms?
We got a note in the kid's folders today that they may have been exposed. They don't say if it was a child in our class though
So now I just being cautious.......this stinks

3-5 days I believe.
Fever, reduction in appetite are the first signs. Hang tight.

This is what they say but dd started showing symptoms about 6 days after exposure.
ETA: I noticed a blister first and then she ran a fever a few hours later. She felt better within 3-4 days although she was contagious for about 7-8.

Re: Coxsackie question.......
Thanks Barb - it just stinks that I don't know if it was a kid in her class or just some random kid in another classroom.
My mom came home from the rehab center today from her knee surgery and I wanted to see her and now I can't

You can see your mom. It's spread through saliva usually. It isn't airborne so being in the same area as someone doesn't mean that person will get it.

Re: Coxsackie question.......
Lori - I just sprayed down out whole house and wiped all the toys down. I hope Ava and Jack and my kiddies don't get this.
Also - Make sure Ava and Jack do not share cups or anything.
Love Ya!
