love the idea! We went to a play group at the library, they didn't have the kitchen just what goes with it and he was playing with all the little accessories the whole time we were there! I may have to buy him one too!

We got a Step 2 Kitchen for my DS on his 2nd birthday. He loves it and now his little brother does too!
I didn't get a pink kitchen or anything feminine. My Dh and my Dad made comments such as "that's an interesting choice for a boy"
I say that if my boys grow up to know how to cook and like it- Good!!!!

My grocery store actually has one in blue/brown for $35. I got it in brown beige.. its like this..
But I WARN you.. THIS is how it looked once I got all the pieces out of the box

We have one from DD, and DS (who is 15 mos) plays with it more than she does. I say go for it!!!

Another Yay! DS got one for Christmas when he was 18 months old too and he loved it and still does! My mom got him a Step 2 one from Costco.
PS... save the box for a few days. DS loved to play in that maybe more than the kitchen itself!

Yay from over here --
I bought one for younger DS for Christmas last year (he was 13mos) and DH rolled his eyes at me when I told him, but DS LOVES it. It's set up in my kitchen and when he tries to grab our oven handles or turn the stove's knobs, older DS tells him, "You have your own kitchen, G. Here, let me show you." 
They're now 3.5yo and almost 2yo and I swear one of them will play with it EVERY day.

The 2 year boys in DD's preschool class (closer to 3 actually) love to play kitchen with my DD. They cook, and sit at the table and have birthday parties etc. I think a kitchen is a pretty neutral toy.
