I have a novel idea, how bout apologizing for being insensitive? I have said hurtful things (not intentionally), have suffered the backlash and have apologized. That's the best way to handle this situation. JMHO

listen, everyone has to be mature enough to know when they crossed the line- whether people tell them or not.
If you don't think you need to apologize, that's one thing.
But not apologizing because people are telling you to apologize even if you think you should- now that's just silly.
And yes, both me and my DH will apologize if we were wrong- even if the other person tells us we should.

FOR HURTING PEOPLE'S FEELINGS!! JESUS, i guess we are asking too much of you, lJess you really are scaring me, I work with seriously mentally ill patients and even they would think statements about liking tp hear jokes about dead babies was SICK! Maybe if you're a Mom oneday (hopefully a LONG time from now due to your current state of mind) you will feel completely embarrassed for this post.

This whole thread absolutely disgusts me. You are entitled to like whatever you want but if you are posting on a public forum have some respect for the others on here as well. I never even knew there were such a thing as a "dead baby joke"...nor do I even wanna understand how any human being... especially a woman (who may want children one day) could find even the smallest amount of humor in it...let alone called them "there fav"
Jess-when I started reading this thread and read about your neighbor....I completly agreed with what everyone was saying, but thought "ok maybe they are just over killing this a bit" I understood you werent wishing him dead, and you shoulve explained yourself and left it at that!
