WWYD? Re: cabinet/furniture
So..I love this piece: Espresso Stain Cabinet and have for a LONG time...here's the issue..I can't find a round/oval (with leaf) table that I love to go with it and DH at first thought we'd have to get all together, but now I'm hearing you don't have to be so matchy..thoughts? TIA!
ETA: This would be for my china, etc. near the dining room...

Re: WWYD? Re: cabinet/furniture
I would have to see the table
but I don't think you have to be matchy matchy-
I like it when things go together- but aren't from the same collection

Re: WWYD? Re: cabinet/furniture
Thing is..I can't find a table I like...most likely, when I do find one, it will be in the espresso colored family, so that won't really be an issue..I'm with you on the collection/color statement...I thought I found a table on Crate and Barrel's website, but the reviews all say although they love it, it scratches even when cards touch it! I don't think that's very durable...

Re: WWYD? Re: cabinet/furniture
I've always liked this one from PB
Have you tried Bassett?

Re: WWYD? Re: cabinet/furniture
That one is good, but then I can't find chairs at PB that I like...I also want to try and get something long enough, since 65" is kind of tight with 6...I think...I have been agonizing over this for months..thanks, ladies!

Re: WWYD? Re: cabinet/furniture
If you are LI, have you check out Tiffany Furniture on Rt. 110? They have a pretty large selection of tables and chairs. we bought our DR set there and you can haggle a little with them too.
We bought Canadel It's real wood and you can pick any table, with any chair with any material on the chairs and with any legs on the table. Check it out. There site has a lot to look at. HTH!

Re: WWYD? Re: cabinet/furniture
I am not one for "name-brand" furniture like PB or Crate and Barrel, etc.... BUT - I frigging love the salvaged wood ones from Restoration Hardware.
Here is a round pedestal - says it seats up to 6.
No leaf though...

thanks for the suggestions, all..I've looked into Canadel and they didn't have a pedestal I liked when checking into it at Raymour and Flanagan..thanks for the Restoration Hardware suggestion-I'll take a look...for now, I think I am going to order the cabinet and see about the rest as I go along...
