WWYD or have done?
Well as you know tomorrow is my transfer. Everything is really going well. Given my age (28) and there being "no documented issues" with DH and I...I am contemplating putting back only one. I know many of you say to do 2, but it kind of makes me nervous to have twins. I spoke with Dr. B and he said for me the odds increase slightly by putting back 2 but not by much given my history. Do you think I am making the right choice? I keep going back and forth...thanks ladies

Re: WWYD or have done?
I am dealing with this same issue between putting back 2 vs. 3. I actually just emailed him to get his opinion. For all the transfers we've had, we've had none take or one take... once put back 2 and 2 took, yet another time put back 3 and none took. Personally I'd put back 2 if I were in your shoes. Only because if I only put back 1 and it didn't take, I'd always kick myself that maybe that 2nd one would've, kwim? But you're right... that could also go the other route. Put back 2 and get 2. You have to go w/ your and your DH's gut here. We were over the moon when we got pregnant with twins. We've also been dealing w/ this for over 7 years now, and want 2 or 3 kids... so if it had worked out, there was a chance we would've been done on our IF journey... Hopefully that helped some. Good luck w/ whatever you decide to do!

Re: WWYD or have done?
It's a totally personal decision, but I'd put back 2. I'd be iffy on 3, but twins wouldn't bother me.

Re: WWYD or have done?
i would put back 2. i put back 2 perfect ones and ended up with one healthy baby and one tiny empty sac. the chances are better that you will have one or none then it is that you will end up with twins.

This is why I wouldn't put back less than two.

Re: WWYD or have done?
I usually put 2 or 3 no less. I put 3 this time and 1 ended up taking. It is truly a personal decision. Good Luck!

Re: WWYD or have done?
We put back 1. We already have a DD and having twins would have change a lot in our lives (professionally for me, financially for the family, we have no extended family near by to help, etc.) My RE (and I know each RE bases their statistics on their own practice's history) said based on my age (33) and no documented problems with DH and me that my chance of pregnancy with putting back 1 was 67%. He told me my chance of pregancy putting back 2 was still 67% but chance of twins rose to 50%. I asked how it's possible that both were 67%, he said he knows it doesn't make logical sense but that is how his office's #s are. I think you need to decide what's best for you. If you are waivering about twins, I'd only put back 1. Good Luck!

Re: WWYD or have done?
without having any persoal experience with IVF, I'd put back 2 and consider putting back three beacuse we have no qualms about having twins.

Re: WWYD or have done?
I did 4 rounds of ivf (2 fresh 2 frozen). 1, MC, 2 nothing, 3 mc, 4 . Each time they put back 2. I was at my witts end by the 4th time and really considered pushing my Dr. and spouse to do 3. now 27weeks with the twins, I'm really glad my spouse stood their ground. It has been a really difficult twin pregnancy and it has been completely normal.
It is a personal choice, but that has been my experience
