WWYD?

So I know we've covered the whole drinking while in the 2WW topic a bunch of times, but I'm not quite sure what to do about testing and a weekend plan.

So saturday I will be 12DPO. If AF doesn't show (TB better not! ), I'm really trying to hold out until 14DPO to test. However, Saturday we have plans with friends to go to the wineries, which is obviously all about drinking. None of them know I'm TTC; nor do I want them to.

Would you test that morning? If it's positive, I'd bail on the plans.
If neg, would you go and just do a few tastings--and not have any extra wine (we usually buy bottles)?

Or, hold out until 14DPO and follow same plan as above?

I know it's said that the baby doesn't share your blood until later on, but I'm nervous I'll undo something that could be happening. KWIM?

I would test that morning and see what you get. If it;s a BFP, bail on the plans. If it's neg, you can still go and taste, just don't go crazy. With my last pregnancy, I drank the night before I got my BFP, and I have a healthy little guy to show for it.

You can test Saturday and if you get a BFP tell your friends you're on an antiobiotic and can't drink, this way you don't have to bail on your plans and you have an excuse for not drinking. to you!

I agree with this one.. and if you get a BFN, why would you still take it easy on the drinking? You're out for the month so no reason to not act as normal.

This was me last weekend. I tested at 12 dpo and got a faint line w/ FRER. We went out to dinner w/ family on Sat night, and I didn't drink. DH said at the table I couldn't drink b/c he had a long week at work and he needed to drink so I had to drive. This worked well. I would test that morning you never know. If you get a line you don't have to bail you can still go and hold a glass of wine, and pretend to taste lol. Or bail if you want. If you get a BFN you are not out yet so go but don't go crazy like the pp said. Good luck!!!!!!

A BFN doesn't mean she's out....She's not out till AF shows....

I plan to act like I normally do, until I get BFP. I'm not one to lie to my friends & family, so if you get a BFP...that would be hard for me to bail on plans. I would rather go, drink in moderation & just tell them you're not feeling like yourself (which would completely true).

honestly I am one of those people who wouldn't risk it. But it's me. I wouldn't drink until I saw AF.

I got pretty drunk the night before my BFP...don't worry about it! It may be your last time getting drunk for a while.
