wow, a got a positive opk
So I haven't gotten AF since going off BC in March and therefore have no idea if or when I ovulate. So I decided to get the test kit and just randomly test for ovulation. Last night i got home late and tested for the hell of it. But than it came back positive! I read the box and pamphlet 20 times to make sure i was looking at it right but the line was claerly darker than the compare line.
I thought i was ovulating last week when i thought i saw ewcm but now i think it might have been lotiony CM. Although I haven't seen EWCM yet?
Is it possible for the ovulation test to be wrong?
DH was asleep when i tested last night so we didn't BD, do i still have a chance? How often should we BD?

Congrats on your first +OPK! It's exciting, right?
You can still O without having visible EWCM. Sometimes it stays up by the cervix, so unless you are checking there then you might not see it.
You definitely still have a chance. Test again tonight and see what happens. If you have another +OPK, then you will probably ovulate tomorrow - so you'd definitely want to BD today, tomorrow, and the following day.
If you don't have a +OPK tonight, then you might be ovulating today, so absolutely get to BDing (maybe 2x today if possible!) and tomorrow also.

Thanks! it is exciting, i never thought it would happen.
BTW just used the ladies room and oh boy EWCM!  Does this mean i'm ovulating right now?
sorry if this sounds dumb, but will BDing two times tonight make my DH's boys less prevalent for tomorrow?

if you got an OPK today and have EWCM now you probably won't ovulate until at least tomorrow night, more likely sometime sunday.
definitely BD today and tomorrow, that should be enough - i would not BD twice in one day, but that's just me (it doesn't help your chances to BD more than once a day and *might* lower his sperm count for tomorrow, although there is no way to be sure).

How exciting. I remember my first opk. I was so excited to finally turn something I peed on +.
I would BD tonight, tomorrow and if you can Saturday.
