Would you rather..RE: preschool teachers..
Need some feedback..
Would you rather a college graduate with a degree with your 3-4 year old, who basically has no experience, acts very immature, dresses inappropriately and is obviously lacking people skills...
OR..
Would you rather someone who does not have their degree but has tons of experience, knows how to speak to parents and takes the job extremely seriously.
I am truly looking for honest answers..is the college degree the most important part of it or not so much when it comes to your child.

I work in this field, and part of my job is hiring teachers...
The degree is a big deal for us, but I try to hiree candidates that have both. (Luckily my teachers have that)
BUT if it was one or the other- Id choose the experience...
The state does require certain amount of education though..

I would absolutely choose B. A degree doesnt always make a person smart....especially socially smart as you have described "A" is not.

If this was for nursery or daycare for a small child I would choose person B. But for preschool I would choose neither and look for someone with a degree and experience so I can be confident my child is learning and following a plan as well as being taken care of well.

I would choose the 2nd....if it was a first or 2nd grade teacher, then the college degree would be important, but for children that young a nurturing, caring, safe environment is important, as well as someone with good judgment (not that these things aren't important in at any age, but moreso for the little ones)

Same in a heartbeat. A college degree does NOT equal intelligence, maturity or tact. Some things you cannot learn from books.
