Would you be concerned- PART II
So, I spoke to my dr. Put in a few phone calls & got what I wanted.
I will be going in tonight for a sonogram to check for any cysts on my ovaries. Then I will meet with the dr. on the 18th to go over what I've been doing & what I can do next. He will also be giving me a script for a comprehensive blood panel since I never had one.
He said he has no problem being proactive since I have concerns & have other health issues.
so that's that.. no drama please. Thanks!

yes.. only after female issues are ruled out. I will go for the sono, do a blood panel, and possibly an HSG in the next couple of months, then the last step would be the SA. IDK why, but I should have gone with this dr. from the get go!

Actually, this is a *different* dr within the same practice. It's actually one of my cheerleader's dads  I do not know him well though. That would be tooooo weird. I knew I could count on him though.. Just gotta get past the embarrassment & suck it up!

ITA-my doc was willing to send DH for an SA on the get-go. I would insist on it. It can give you a lot of answers and you might be able to avoid testing this way.

the first thing my dr. did was send DH for SA. It's the easiest test to see if something is wrong. I would ask the dr. to write a script for DH to get that done.

Michelle- I haven't had a CD21 yet.. I have had nothing beyond a basic blood panel for my yearly physical from my general practitioner. My ob/gyn never did anything besides write me a script for prenatals & give me a referral for a high risk ob

It is your decision how you want to approach it. I am trying to be helpful and tell you what my doc said. If a PP posted exactly that, I don't feel it necessary to repeat it verbatim, KWIM. I just know what it is like to be a human pincushion and I was trying to suggest as well that you might want to test the man, which involves no needles. But, if you don't want my help, just ignore it. Okay?

All I am saying is that it is way easier to test the man first. I just know how bad it hurts to have blood taken, because I have it all the time and I wanted to put my 10 cents in to try to spare you the pain of a blood test-KWIM?

Yes, no reason to not have some of the easier stuff done - especially if you just have the "feeling" that something is not right. I personally would avoid the HSG till the other tests come back and see how things stand. I thought it was horrible....but that's another topic.

ok. Apparently my words are being taken out of context because you can not read tone over the internet.
1-When I said 'I knew you would' to Michelle it was because MAM often says what others are thinking before they are said. There was no animosity coming from over here. However, with the way you responded, I am going to assume someone FMed you or something and pointed it out, THEN you took offense to it. Please know that was not my intention
2- The headbanging was directed at the missed step of bloodwork at my 1st ob/gyn appointment- not at the poster
3- please do not 'tsk tsk' me & then edit. How am I supposed to know things are being taken out of context if posts are being edited? Thankfully I saw that post & now am able to explain
