We used to get those when I lived in Michigan - my favorite weapon of choice for getting rid of them was a 2x4 or my brother's motocross boots with the steel plate in the bottom.

BTW I reported this post asking the mods to add a warning to the title, since the OP hasn't changed it yet. Hope they do so.
I am sorry. I was at work all afternoon and evening. I don't get online there. My intent was not to freak anybody out. I am deathly afraid of spiders too. Now that I got back online, I cahnged the subject.

that actually made me shiver!
I had one of those flying roach looking things fly into my house one night last summer. It must have come from one of the garden's downstairs. I was home alone and screaming like a lunatic as it flew up to my ceiling and all around my living room. I didn't know what the f to do. I called dh screaming into the phone and crying hysterically. i seriously hope to not see anything even remotely close to that this summer.
or any sort of spider which looks anything like your pet spider friend.
i would freak out. i can't take these bugs. so gross!!!!
