Working Moms...what time do you get home at night?

I get home at 6:30PM and DD is usually sleeping by 8PM....I feel like i get no time with her during the week and it's depressing me! As soon as i get home, I wash up and try to play and feed her during that hour and a half before she falls asleep but it goes so fast. WHat time do all of you get home?

I'm on maternity leave but when I'm working I get home at 6:30pm also (I leave before they wake up Chat Icon). We pushed DS's bedtime back to 8:30-9 so I'd get more time with him but it's still not enough!

Re: Working Moms...what time do you get home at night?

We're home by 5ish. Depending on traffic

Usually it's crunch time... put bottles in dishwasher, take out dog, feed Mason, do a quick clean-up and then play with Mason for an hour (if it's nice we go for a walk or in the swings and if not we play in the playroom).
6:45 - 7 is bathtime then last bottle, brush teeth and he's down by 7:30

I feel the same way. We make the most of our weekends (even though a lot of it is running errands). I also try and take off some Fridays to have mommy and Mason days. Looking forward to holiday breaks too. Got to do what you can do.
I know Mason also has fun all day at daycare with his friends and teachers. Lots of toys, trips outside, story time, art, etc Chat Icon Chat Icon

Between 5 and 5:30 is the norm.

The night goes fast, but we make the most of it with family dinner, maybe a walk after dinner, bath, a show and whole bed time routine.Chat Icon

Re: Working Moms...what time do you get home at night?

we pick DD up at 530 and then drive home (hour trip)

soo we dont actually get home until 630-7, depending on traffic and if we have to make any stops

her bedtime is 830. the nights she gets a bath i feel like its a rush to get her into bed on time. i make sure to get extra playtime in on her non-bath nights Chat Icon

Between 5:30 & 6:30. DD goes to bed between 7:30-8.
I get home, feed her, then on bath nights bathe her, then playtime or just playtime on non-bath nights. It really stinks sometimes, but I try to make the most of weekends!

Re: Working Moms...what time do you get home at night?

I get home at 6pm.

When DS was younger, it was a race to get him fed and bathed andin the bath by 7-7:30pm.

As he got older, his bed time got later and it got easier. At 3, he goes to bed at 9pm now, so we have time to play a game or watch a show together or something and fit everything else in before getting ready for bed.

Re: Working Moms...what time do you get home at night?

I get home at 4:30 and still feel like I don't get enough time with her at night. There is so much going on, such as feeding her, making dinner, and she usually takes a quick nap, that her bed time comes so fast!

Re: Working Moms...what time do you get home at night?

Usually get home between 530-6. We play for a while, go for a walk, etc then he eats dinner at about 730. Then it's bath & bed, and he's sleeping by 830. It used to be earlier but as he's gotten older, he has gotten more hyper LOL so now we stretch out the time before bed. Weekends are filled with errands too but we make the best of it. It's not easy.

Re: Working Moms...what time do you get home at night?

I get home at 7:30pm. I know exactly how you feel. By the time I get home and eat dinner and have my time with DS it's time for him to go to bed. I get 2 hours tops with him...but normally just an hour.

I pick her up from daycare at 4:30pm. She goes to bed between 7:30-8pm.

I drop her off at daycare at 7am though so that I can work 7:30-4pm.

Re: Working Moms...what time do you get home at night?

I use to get home at 6pm, but I fought to come in earlier so that I can be home by 4:30. It took eight months but I finally got it. My new job has the same option.

I get home around 5 - 5:15. I was able to adjust my schedule when I got back from maternity leave so that I could leave a little earlier.

Re: Working Moms...what time do you get home at night?

We get home around 5:00 - though I may be going back to my full schedule so it would be closer to 5:30.

We put DS down around 7:30-8:00. It really is not enough time! Chat Icon

I'd like to make the weekends more fun but it seems like we are so often trying to run errands.

I usually get home around 6:30 (sometimes as late as 7pm) and Kaydyn goes to bed around 8:30 and Ainsley goes to bed around 9:30. It's def not enough time during the week.

Re: Working Moms...what time do you get home at night?

I commute so I don't get home till 8pm, and that's when I leave work at 6 on the dot. Everyone else stays later but no one commuted but me. I get from 6am to 8 am with DD. She goes to sleep at 7 pm. I only get the weekends, but I do other work on the weekends. It's very hard on me!

Re: Working Moms...what time do you get home at night?

I get home at 1am. I'm in bed by 1:30-2am after I do a few chores. I wake up around 7:30am with my DDs, spend the day with them and leave for work at 2pm. Needless to say, I am perpetually tired. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Working Moms...what time do you get home at night?

6:30. He's usually winding down for bed by 7:30. If I have to feed him dinner and give him his bath, we have very little play time.

Although he clings to me when he's tired at the end of the day. I can't escape him! I don't mind though. Chat Icon
