Never used a wipe warmer or bottle warmer for that matter.

Ditto.
And as far as warming up formula- I didn't give her ice cold formula- but I warmed it in a cup of hot tap water.
Worked just as well, didn't cost a penny and didn't take up precious counter space.

Re: Wipe warmer?

I never registered for one. I honestly did not want DS to get used to "luxuries". What if I was out somewhere and did have warm wipes? I didn't want him having a full melt down.

FTR - I didn't get a bottle warmer nor did I ever warm his bottles.

Wipe warmer?

i was anti the wipes warmer....
however- my babies were premies and born in april and it was rather cool...they were so tiny so i bought a warner to use. i dont use it anymore, though. it dries the wipes out.

Re: Wipe warmer?

I also thinks its a waste.. Also there are something about it that may make you really not want it...

First off they are fire hazards...

If you are out with you baby and need to change him or her, that baby will expect a warm wipe.. Unless you also have a travel wipe warmer, this won't happen.

And lastly, they dry out your wipes, so that's pretty much money down the drain.

I never used one, so I can't say; I did use my bottle warmer religiously in the beginning though!

Re: Wipe warmer?

its annoying. we used it when he was just born but it got old quickly. The thing is they dont miss what they dont know. If they are used to the wipes being a little cold, it doesnt bother them. And they dont really get that cold unless you are storing them somewhere cold.

Wipe warmer?

It's up to you--nothing is a waste of money if it makes your life with baby easier/more pleasant!!
See if you can get by without it. If you can, return it. If you can't, then use it. Just bc someone else didn't use it doesn't mean you won't.

Re: Wipe warmer?

I'm just confused as to these "cold" wipes that the warmer is supposed to counteract.

My wipes are never cold- even in the dead of winter. They are room temp.
Our house does have heat.

Unless you are storing them outside, how are these wipes ice cold anyway?

not ice cold but cool! We keep our heat at 65 and they were chilly. When we started using the warming DS would stop peeing from the wipes mid diaper change. So for me it def made a difference.

We never had one with either of my kids. I don't think that it's necessary.

Re: Wipe warmer?

I thought it was a waste until I had a terrible sleeper. I did everything in my power to make night time feedings easier. She was terrible at getting back to sleep after diaper changes as a newborn, I bought the warmer and it made a difference for us - so for me, it was far from a waste. $30 for more sleep - sooooo not a waste of money IMO.

Of course it's not a neccessity, but 90% of the things recommended on here aren't.

Total waste of money!! I would return it (I did) and get something you will actually use.
