love LV, love the simplicity of them. i am not a fru fru bag kind of girl and there arent that many simple lines out there that are high quality and will last for YEARS! they are also extremely versatile with change of season.
they can also take a beating (which is great with kids).
i have 2 and if I can afford it, i hope to have more in the future. i dont care what other people think of them or what they think of me for carrying them.
Sorry if this is slightly off topic but how are you liking your 'delightful'?

I guess my experience has been different bc my LV bag has really fallen apart after only a few uses....I am extremely unhappy with the quality.
I agree with you. Most are made of vinyl. Why would people pay so much money for a vinyl bag?? Lets face it, if there was an identical "quality" bag without the LVs all over it, no one would buy it.

See thats the reason I love Chanel. I own a few when when I worked with them and love that not too many carry them-you can spot fake Chanel a mile away.

I've never wanted an LV. The monogram is not my style. ANY monogram that isn't RR isn't for me. I remember I once told a couple of girls that I didn't care for LV and their heads whipped around so fast and they stared at me like 
It's just not me.
I will admit that there is a particular shape that caught my attention recently and I contemplated buying one for about a week, but then I came across a cute bag at Banana Republic and decided to save the other $800+ for my kids.

I am so suprised that people seem shocked that people buy bags for status.
If it was quality they were after they would spend their money on the best bag they can afford but instead they buy some crap off the street because it looks like a designer bag.

I would never buy a fake anything.. Like I said, I rock bags that are cheapie like from Target or even antiques from thrift stores I've come across.. I'm more of buying stuff I like and can afford.. 
Has no one on this thread ever hear of the phase "keeping up with the Jones'?
Just because you don't do it there are millions of people that do. This is why most people are in debt to their eyeballs. They buy things thay can't afford to paint a picture of themselves that is not true.....
people buy houses, cars, expensive bags and jewelry all the time to show that they are of a certain status or the make a lot of money when the truth is that they don't.....
I'm not saying I do this or that its right, I just can't believe some of you are so surprised that people do this.....

Funny I had a vegan bag that was the same size exactly as the Never Full and it's great for travelling, it broke and I miss the size of it. Having said that, I'm not a fan and fell like everyone has them...of course if DH wanted to buy me a Chanel or Chloe I would gladly accept.
I personally like bags that are a little more interesting and don't have logos all over it. But for size and the way it hangs on the shoulder, I loved that tote I had.

I have one LV, the Speedy 25 and I just love it. I love the classic LV monogram print and even though it's brown and tan, it goes with all! I won't get another. This one suits me fine. I bought it for myself with my first big bonus at work (when i worked a regular job, pre baby and yoga teaching). So, that means a lot to me, too!

My thing is if you like something, get it. Who cares if every person has it or if they don't- or it's too common. That's stupid. Most people like Uggs. Am I going to stop wearing mine because 99% of women have them? No, because they are comfortable as hell. And I still like them.
With that said, I LOVE LV. Classic, timeless and holds up so well. My mother has LV's from the 70s and they still look amazing. I have two right now. I usually sell one before buying another. I stick with Vintage ones usually because of the patina. I'll never give up LVs!

I think people get the LV bags so people know they spent 800 or 2k or whatever on a bag. Sure they are nice but also almost everyone KNOWS they cost $$$ same w/Gucci or Fendi or Prada (though only Gucci is probably as known as LV).
DH got me one for Christmas and I do like having it, though I think it is nuts to spend that much money on a bag
