Why does everyone want a LV?
I own one, but they've lost their appeal to me because EVERYONE has them. They are expensive...why not buy a luxury bag that not a lot of people have...many options in the same price range....Fendi, Gucci, Miu Miu, Prada, Chloe, Marc Jacobs, etc. etc.
Am I alone here in my thinking?

I think it's because they are a classic bag that is timeless. It's not to everyone's taste, but if you like them it can be an investment bag that you can carry forever.
I got one for my 30th and loved it, but even empty it was really heavy. It was a handbag so it doesn't work with small kids, but I still like it and know it will still look good in a five, ten or more years.

I don't like them at all, I dislike the colors they come in and I don't like the monogram BUT I am a Coach wh0re and I know people who don't like the C monogram, so I don't really hate on them 
I do have leather Coach bags that have lasted me years and years and years and cost a fraction of an LV so I think I'm coming out ahead

I have the Epi and loved the 40s feel to it.....
it's still a great going out bag that holds a ton.
They are also very well made!

I have other bags, MJ, Kooba, Prada, Rachel Minkoff, etc but I find that I get sick of them.

Fendi and Gucci are also very popular as well. I know alot of people that owns either Gucci or Fendi and I do see them alot on the streets.

That's how I feel too...although I've used mine less now because of a little person who likes to put her sippys in my purse  The only other bags that I have that I feel like I will always use are my MJ ones...
It's really just a preference though, KWIM? Like DH likes red apples and I like green ones

I think there are plenty of Fendi, Gucci and Other high end brands all around. The difference is that you can spot a LV from a mile away but with the other bags, if people don't buy the logo ones and it is harder to tell what brand they are.
I think that is so many people flock to LV. If they spend the money, they want people to know what they are carrying.

they have become too mainstream now and have lost their luster for me
with that said, my wallet has held up beautifully and my purses as well..
but i find ive been reaching for my other purses and passing over the LV
if i was to get a new purse right now, i would probably go with a balenciaga motorcycle or jimmy choo ramona bag.
i also have been swinging towards the mid range brands like MARC by Marc Jacobs, Rebecca Minkoff (love her stuff) and Kooba

If I could afford to splurge on LV, I'm not sure I would. Maybe. I like the idea of the classic look but I still just don't think it's my style.
I personally love Marc Jacobs so much more. Def. more my style.

O...you would be amazed at how many people buy/do things just because it's the "in" thing. I know a few who bought LV's JUST because they want to be associated with owning one or because other people they know own one. It's very common. I never understood and I never will.

Seriously! I also rock my target bags too. I wonder what that means to people who think it's my seeking status? lmao I buy things I like regardless of brand in all honesty..
I don't know why people care so much about what others do with their money and what they assume to be the reason behind it.. I'm all about live and let live...
