My husband is the III, John Charles so we agreed to name our first son Charles John, and call him Charlie. I also like Nicholas for a boy. For girls I like Lexie, and Gabriella

We are not TTC yet, but agree on Cavan for a boy, after my grandmother's county in Ireland (my sister is named for Kerry - my grandfather's county). For girls, I like Ashlynn Regina and Bailey Maeve.

DH told me we would NOT have a junior, well actually a 3rd....he's a junior (as is my brother) & it led to confusion on the phone in later years (do you want big jerry/little jerry); mail mix-ups & more.
DH & I took a while to come to an agreement on names....
He tended to like VERY Irish sounding names (he's only 1/4 Irish) & I'm not at all & I just wasn't fond of them.
We both were in agreement on the boy first name (middle name not set yet).
He actuallly came around to the girl name I love, middle name pretty much in agreement.
It's not easy.
By the way, I too like your DH's nickname...given name, not so much (but that is b/c of exes....)

DH insists our son be named after him, so if we have a boy:
Anthony John, Jr. ("AJ" or "Tony")
If we have a girl, she will be named after both of my grandmothers:

OMG - that is so freaky . . . I've been trying to convince DH to name a little girl Emma Louise for my grandma (Emma) and his! Unfortunately he hates the name Emma.

I really like that name too & my mom's name & my middle name is Louise...DH doesn't want to start w/ using ANY family names so as not to cause hard feelings.

Yes. My husband is dead set on naming a son after him...Francisco. While I love my husband, I just cannot imagine calling my one month old...Francisco. But for like five generations before us, this name was passed down, so it's not like I can do anything but hope for a girl when we conceive!
I like that name! I can see where you're coming from, though. How about calling him Frankie?

Hello,
My FH and I haven't started to TTC yet we will start in July... but we already have the names picked out!
Jonathan London after my fathers name if it's a boy
Carlie after his fathers name (he wants the middle name to be Paris, I am not so sure about that) if it is a girl
Very excited though we took all the prenatal blood testing and everything yesterday when we went to go see the Genetic Consular!
