Which favor would you prefer?
I'm having an animal themed party for DS bday. The lady will be bringing things ranging from turtles and lizards to hedgehogs and bunnies.
My original idea was bug catcher kits from dollar tree, but they're seasonal and out of stock right now.  I'm so disappointed about that because they would have been absolutely perfect.
I do have a couple of other ideas that may work. Which would your kids like better?
1- butterfly net with some plastic bugs, snakes, lizards, etc.. A bug tweezer, stickers and tattoos all wrapped in the net part
2- I was thinking of getting brown boxes and decorating them with labels that say Live Animals and poking breathing holes in them and then putting in a stuffed animal. Maybe a lizard, turtle frog, or snake. * I just saw on the Disney website that I can get the purple girl and the blue boy from A Bugs Life to put in the boxes. That might be cute.
3- a bug/animal book and some plastic animals.
4- I'm also open to any other suggestions that fit our theme

DS loves reading about animals, and those little plastic ones are easy enough to add to his pile of too many toys.

#3 for sure. the dollar tree usually has a lot of books with animals/bugs as the theme, like national geographic.

I am also planning to give out bug catching favors for DS's bday party in March. Have not done any research yet but DS is obsessed with bugs lately.
We went to a ladybug party a few years ago and the mom did a craft with the kids to make a cute ladybug jar. If I remember correctly, each kid got a little plastic jar with lid and decorate the jar like a ladybug. It was cute.
Hoping I'll be able to find a bug favor for ~$5. Let me know if you find anything.

Love #1 or #2. I just looked on Amazon and they had a bunch of bug catchers for under $10 but I'm not sure what your budget is : ).

We are inviting over 30 kids  so $10 favors are out!  Plus it pisses me off to pay $5-6 for the same thing the Dollar Tree sells for $1.
