Which favor would you prefer...with poll
Favor option #1: Chocolate and caramel covered apple with sprinkles (can't do nuts because some guests are bringing kids with a nut allergy)
Favor option #2: chocolate cross and a brownie pop, rolled in chocolate and sprinkles
Event is a Baptism Thanksgiving weekend. Thanks!

Re: Which favor would you prefer...with poll
I know it makes no sense whatsoever but I always feel odd eating religious symbols. So I picked #1 but I love caramel apples anyway.

The apple sounds interesting, but I can't eat something like that bc of a front tooth...guests with dentures wont be able to either

I prefer the apple but IMO edible favors are the way to go which ever one you choose. Nothing I have more than getting a knick knack that clutters my house & I feel bad throwing away

Re: Which favor would you prefer...with poll
For Our wedding and DD's christening, we give personalized pens as favors..... months later we still see family and friends using them and they say how useful they are!
IMO edible favors are ok.... I always prefer a favor I can keep rather and eat and its gone but I know I'm in the minority

Re: Which favor would you prefer...with poll
While I love edible favors, both of my DC have peanut/tree nut allergy and can't either of what you described.
As far as chocolate lollipops/crosses, etc they cannot eat them, because there is no way to know if there was cross contamination with nuts, even if there are no nut in it.
I have made chocolate favors myself and have also ordered them. The place where I have bought the meltable chocolate as well as the place that I ordered the finished products from have both said that they cannot guarantee that there was no cross- contamination. While I love caramel apples, it would be the same situation.
If I were you, you can order the favors that you want, and then offer a few nut-free alternatives to those who are allergic. Examples are Oreos, Chips A Hoy and most hard candy (just be sure to read the bags).
For DD's upcoming Communion, I am doing the regular size Hershey Bars with personalized wrappers. These Hershey Bars are the only "safe" chocolate that my children can eat.
HTH.

We only had one child with a nut allergy and they are unable to attend (they live out of state) so the nut allergy is no longer a concern, but thank you for the suggestions!
