Where did you buy your couch?

We bought a brand new white leather couch from Macy's @ 2 yrs ago when we bought our home...

DH broke it! He jumped into it during a Jets game ..we were able to fix the seat he broke but it is starting to cave again and well I think I need to just get a new couch...

So where can we get a new couch for a decent price..spent ALOT for this one...so looking for something more reasonable..TIA

I actually got mine at Rooms to Go and it held up wonderfully.

My other one is from Macys

Try Bobs and Jennifer and Raymour too.

we have one from bobs- sectional with a chaise and one from jennifer convertibles- the jennifer convertibles one is definitely more comfie but I adore the chaise on the bobs one

weren't you guys thinking of moving soon though? the only reason I ask is if you buy a new couch it may not work in the new house

Our sectional is from Jennifer Convertibles and it's awesome. It looks great, is so comfy and was a great price.

We had a couch from Raymour & Flanigan in my co-op and it looked pretty but the quality was eh. If your husband is prone to jumping bouts, I don't think it would withstand.

my current couch is from Pottery Barn-- but when we move it will go in the family room, I think I will get my new couch for the living room from Thomasville. I have a chair from there in DD's room and it is so comfortable in addition to looking great. There is a couch that is part of the set that we picked the chair from.

It's a chase on 1 end and a recliner on the other. I can't wait to get it!!!!! I couldn't get my lazy A$$ off of it at the store.

my husband (before i met him) bought a leather set from macys..spent like 3 grand. Well they got ruined from him laying on them..thank god he bought the protection plan from macys cause they gave us (almost five years after he bought them) the full 3000 dollars back in store credit!!! so we have a brand new set from macys and also a small couch and chair from jcpenney.

we bought an expensive couch before kids and since then our two boys have destroyed it!

We couldn't deal anymore, but know the kids will still destroy, so we just bought a "temporary" couch from jennifer. the prices are low enough for us not to be upset if we have to buy again in 2-3 years.

If you're looking for another leather couch, I wouldn't recommend getting one from Bob's. We have 2 full size leather sofas from them that are about 2 years old and they are in terrible shape. The seats droop where we sit most often & it's very obvious when looking at them. Even worse is that they're bonded leather, not 100% leather, so the leather is actually WEARING OFF a lot on the bottom cushions and it looks awful. I have a 6 year old leather sofa from Levitz that is still in mint condition & my 2 newer sofas from Bob's probably need to be replaced in the next year We're really the only 2 people that use them regularly & we have no pets, so I imagine they'd look worse if we had older kids/a dog...My brother also has a leather sofa from Bob's and is experiencing the same thing.

I bought my leather sofas from JCPenney. They were 1/2 the price of comparable ones I was looking at from Raymour.

I have one DS and another DC on the way, so I won't cry too much if these have to be replaced in a few years because they were so cheap!

We got ours from Rooms Unlimited but it is an Ashley Furniture couch

Got ours at Bobs...its very comfy and a pullout.

When I told my mother she said "he has to stop running and jumping on couches"..he does it at my parents house also

I think it is a problem when I have to find a couc that my 185 DH can jump on and not break

I think it is a problem when I have to find a couc that my 185 DH can jump on and not break

I am glad that my 325 DH doesn't do this...we would have to replace more than the furniture He would probably go through the floor
