Re: When your offically done having kids...
We plan to be done with two but I don't think I will be ready for anything permanent ever so I will probably stick with an IUD.

Re: When your offically done having kids...
I can't see either of us doing something really permanent. So I don't know!

IUD - but for those who get them, please don't leave them in longer than they should. My friend's mom left hers in for 15 years (I know) and ended up with a histerectomy. Just FYI.

Re: When your offically done having kids...
I don't think I will ever "officially" admit to being done having kids, i have a few years to think of this, but after we have 1-2 more, I'd say I'd get fixed since I have heard more than a few times of women getting pregnant aftre their husbands had the ol' snip a roo, it is not 100%, a tubal is 100%

Actually tubal's aren't 100% either When a man has a vasectomy they are supposed to go back I think it's something like 6 months after the procedure to verify that he's "shooting blanks". I think the problem with women getting pregnant after their husbands have had this done is because the didin't go back to double check. So for you ladies planning on getting their DH's fixed make sure you send them back!
ETA: I'm totally planning on dragging DH to the Dr. to get him fixed but only once I'm 100% sure I'm done.
