when to interview pediatricians
I am 26 weeks. For those who did, when did you start interviewing pediatricians?

when to interview pediatricians
WE use Seaford pediatrics & they don't take interviews. YOu will have to see who you are thinking of & then see if they do something like that. I think some Drs are just to busy to do it.

I planed it for 35-36 weeks,and of course DS was born at 34 weeks. While he was in NICU I saw two different ones and made my decision, since them I switched practices though.

You should do it sooner rather than later. I was waiting and putting it off until I was further along and ended up having a preemie. Hopefully you will go full therm but it is something you want to have done if (God forbid) you don't go full term.

We did it at 36ish weeks, I think. I probably would've done it a few weeks earlier but I had to wait for a day DH had off from work.

I called around at 30 weels. Our ped didnt do interviews. We just told the hospital who we were using and they came to see the baby at the hospital then we followed up with an apt.

I would call soon. Some offices don't do interviews since they are so busy seeing patients while others only do them on certain days. I called around 32 weeks and got in at 38 weeks.

I was 36 or 37 weeks.
We didn't actually interview any of the peds (they would never get anything done if they personally gave interviews), but we got to tour the office and speak with the office manager who gave us a whole binder of info on the practice and answered all of our general questions.

Call around 30 weeks to make an appt. we went around 35 weeks to meet with the doctor. My ds was transferred to another hospital (nicu) so I was really glad we had the interview as we talked on the phone regularly while my ds was in the nicu and this wouldn't have happened if I hadn't selected her ahead of time.

Similar story for me too. I think I had planned to go around 35 weeks and ended up delivering at 32 weeks. I met with 2 different peds and picked one while baby was still in the NICU. I think sooner is always better than later.
