Ok, gotta start interview pediatricians. Now what?

I can't believe its time to interview pediatricians (almost 32 weeks )So when i call the pediatrician's office, do i tell the receptionist that this is an interview? Will I be charged a standard copay? How does this work exactly? Before Lifamilies, I never heard of a pediatrician interview.

When you call a pediatrician's office, just tell them you're pregnant and searching for a pediatrician for your new baby. A lot of pediatricians have special hours set aside for new parents-to-be. We were never charged a copay or anything. Be sure to come prepared with questions written down so that you get everything answered (i.e. hours, vaccine policies, sick/well waiting areas, hospitals they cover, number of physicians in practice, waiting time, etc). No copay at all... as the person above me said... let the receptionist know you're pregnant and looking for a pediatrician. They're usually so nice and will schedule an appt for you to meet with the Doc. Once you're their you'll go in their office and he/she will tell you a little bit about their practice and you can ask as many questions as you like. Sometimes they'll even show you some of the examining rooms, etc. Good luck!
