Very early! 4 months! I thought it was her daycare teaching her - but we were talking about it the other day and it turns out my DD was the only one that could do it.

Is has not been until recently that DS will hold a small bottle. He prefers straight from the breast and if it's bottle, was resistant to doing it himself Now he gets excited to hold it on his own (most times). So, 11 months!

Huh I thought it was kind of early. DS is 3.5 months and essentially holds it on his own. It makes me laugh because since day 1 he has held my boob like a bottle while nursing.

DS likes to hold his bottle, but he can't really hold it up well enough to drink from it yet. he will be six months on thursday.

I think it was 12-13 months and it's because the teacher at daycare got him to do it.
I have to admit, I never pushed that hard to make him do it himself.

10 months while we were in Disney...she really had no choice but to hold it on her own b/c she was in the stroller a lot.

Although he could do it at 6 mths he is lazy with me. With everyone else he will hold it - with me I have to hold it.

5 months. If I put the bottle in her mouth she would refuse to grab it. But if I held it in front of her, she would grab it and hold it.

DS started a month ago... so 4 months.. but i use the avent bottles and the large bottles are very heavy so i actually went out and bought their handle adapters for them and put them onto my 4 oz bottles.. when i am getting beakfast ready for him i give him the bottle with the handles and he drinks it himself

Never I think she held it once in the 19 months she was on one. She was a little prissy - lol. Really it was our cuddle time so she never had to.
