DD is 4 months and we just switched her. She is pretty big and HATED the infant seat. I think she felt too confined in it.
I do miss the ease of being able to throw it in the snap-and-go etc, but not having her scream like I was pinching her every time I put her in a car seat makes it worth it.
To me, she looks more comfortable in the convertible seat.

10 months and it was time. She still fit the Chicco requirements, but she wanted more space and is much much happier now.

DD Is 15months and still in the Graco Snugride 32 (32lbs and 32inch) Currently DD is 21lbs and 29 inches.
WE actually bought a convertable seat the other day but it doesn't fit in our car rear facing, we have to take it back.

We JUST switched our son last week at 18.5 months. He's nowhere near the weight limit for the infant seat and had JUST reached the height limit, so we switched him. He was perfectly content in the infant seat, and you can't beat the convenience! So we saw no reason to switch earlier.

DD is 13.5 months and she is still in the infant seat. She only weighs a little over 17 pounds but her last height measurement was 30.5 inches. We have a doctors appointment tomorrow so I am hoping she can stay in it as long as possible. We have the Graco 32 so DD will definitely hit the height limit way before the weight limit.

Just ordered the convertible seat. DD is 8 months. She looks squished in her infant seat now, but I know she's still under the height and weight limits. (we have a chicco keyfit 30; DD is probably around 20 lbs now).

Ds #1 was 13 months when we switched him. He still technically fit but he didn't look comfortable.
DS #2 was almost a year when we switched him. Again, he still fit but he wasn't happy.

we stopped using it around 11 months but by 8-9 months we just kept it in the car and just placed her in then instead of bringing it into the house everyday
We did just about the same thing. I had the Graco safeseat which went up to 30lbs and 30 inches. With both boys, around 9 months we left the seat in the car and just carried them in and out of it. We changed it to the Britax Marathon at the one year mark.
We just changed the seat this weekend. Ds turned 1 on Tues and went in the seat for the first time yesterday.
