When did you seek medical help?
DH and I have been trying since January 2008. Not a long time but it's long enough for me. Saw my doctor on Thursday for an annual exam and I mentioned that we were TTC. She told me to try a few more months and then come back if still no luck.
What is a few more months?
I'm still waiting on AF but I am pretty sure I am out. Next month, I'm getting the ClearBlue with the :) and going to try that. If there is no luck that cycle, I would like to seek some medical help. I am not completely sure what medicine can offer me but I want to at least start looking into it.
Am I way ahead of myself?

Re: When did you seek medical help?
because of my age I decided to go sooner rather than later.
I haven't even gone for testing yet. but it's not a bad idea to find out if anything is wrong even if you are young. There are so many components of getting pregnant it's amazing any of us do!
It's not a defeat, just a way of seeing if everything is working normally.

Re: When did you seek medical help?
If I remember correctly, you and DH are very young. If your cycles are normal and there is no significant medical history for either you or DH, I would definitely get a SA done. I recently heard that most problems getting PG in young couples are because of problems with the man's sperm, not the woman.
ETA: I started seeing a RE after 6 months of TTC and I was 32.

Re: When did you seek medical help?
My dr. had me undergo some testing before we officially started TTC because my cycles are averaging 40 days and she wanted to make sure I was ovulating. I'm 32.
I went for an ultrasound to see if O was happening, and I was sent for blood work twice.
I don't know if all of this helps, but I just wanted you to know that the testing I underwent wasn't bad and would pick up any problems. It couldn't hurt just to check.

Re: When did you seek medical help?
I waited about 9 months to get the SA and then we saw the urologist. It is a year now and we are seeing the RE for IUI's

Re: When did you seek medical help?
i think the main question is are you charting? you should be aware of your cycle, your mucus, when you're ovulating and not, when Aunt Flo is in town, etc. etc. etc.
There is such a limited window to actually get pregnant, so it's a good idea to chart. if you're charting consistently and accurately and you still are not pregnant within a year, then i tihnk it's time to see a doctor.

Re: When did you seek medical help?
I have not been charting! Took my temp for the first time this morning. I will give that a shot before going to a doctor. Thanks, as always, for all of your help!!!

Re: When did you seek medical help?
We went to a Urologist for a SA around the 9 month mark. Looking back now, I wish I would have gone sooner but my cycles were still not regular. Now we are at the 1 year mark & moving to a RE on Friday. I am excited & nervous for the next step as we do know we have Male Factor IF

Re: When did you seek medical help?
I did after about 5/6 months... When I first met with my OB, because of my cycles and some weird stuff that had been happening with them, she suggested we try for 6 months, then see a specialist.
After having one chemical, she told me to go right away-- about a month early. Although while I was waiting for my appt- since there was nothing available right away, I had another chemical.
I just saw my RE for the first time last week, and am also in the 2WW, so my next cycle will be my first full cycle being treated.

Re: When did you seek medical help?
I am so happy this question was posted. I have been trying since December and was unsure as to when to talk to a doc. But I think I will wait one more cycle (as my body just started to O last month).
Thanks to all for posting their comments. It's so great to come on this board and find out soooo much information!
