What's your one "luxury" in life?
What's one thing that you splurge on because it makes you feel better or makes your life easier? It can be anything...
For me it's recently hiring a cleaning lady. It is SO helpful and wonderful to have her come every 2 weeks...I seriously think I would give up eating if I could just keep my cleaning lady forever...
What's the one luxury in your life?
eta: some of us have a lot more than one, but for the purpose of discussion let's just choose your favorite

buying lunch. I cant seem to make the time to prepare lunch for myself either the night before, and definitely not in the morning. I only spend about $5 a day on lunch, sometimes less, so its not that much of a luxury, but it is so much easier for me

I probably definitely have more than one, but for right now I would have to say my $70 eyebrow shapings. I feel like i have eyebrows like a model everytime I walk out!

Re: What's your one "luxury" in life?
I guess my laptop. It was an absolute lifesaver in college and while it was a big expense, I really think it was a big part of my 20 credit 4.0 semester (which is an accomplishment that really impresses people on job interviews), and took a lot of stress out of my life. I wish I had gotten one my freshman year instead of senior year, but what can you do? Also, I love being able to go anywhere in the house and use the computer.
I also sometimes buy department store makeup, and I never go to the library I always buy books, usually hardcovers. AND I bought my car new and I will buy my next car new and every car after that.
Those are the basic luxuries in my life.

About once every four months. I go and have my hair highlighted. I have a short, kinda spiky type cut, so I have to go full head. It sets me back $190 that visit for the cut and color...but I get compliments wherever I go!

Re: What's your one "luxury" in life?
Going to the Nail Spa every other week to get pampered. Got to have my spa pedicure with my french manicure and LCN perm. French for finger nails. When I go to the Nail Spa I also have my eyebrows threaded along with facials. I do spend a ton of $$$ but it so worth it and I can't live without this luxury.

My one luxury would be time. Time to do the things that I love.
If it has to be monetary, I would say JHS. I don't have to dry/style my hair for 8 months.

Re: What's your one "luxury" in life?
Every Wednesday at 3:30, I get my nails done. I still have my silk wraps on & could not imagine my nails without them. To me, nice nails are key. Plus every 2 weeks I treat myself to a pedicure. when I go, that is my 1 hour to relax & unwind before going home to do the "household" duties

Re: What's your one "luxury" in life?
i would have to say my car... its the new RAV4 "limited" edition with all of the "hook-ups"(sunroof, automatic climate control, 6 disc CD changer)... my payment is almost $450 a month, but i just feel so good driving around in a really cute, really nice car... its like " ok, so THIS is why i get myself out of bed and go to work everyday"... i think evenybody needs to have something like that.
ETA: and going out to eat 2-3 times a week.. so nice not worrying about cooking for a couple days!

Re: What's your one "luxury" in life?
I would have to say cleaning lady - but does that count if my mom is paying for it? Eventually I will pay for them myself (I guess after the baby is born)
Otherwise, I used to spoil myself ALOT more when I was working in the city and making alot more $$. Now I try to keep it to a minimum.

Re: What's your one "luxury" in life?
getting a pedicure.
I go every 3-4 weeks in the fall/winter and every 2-3 weeks in the spring/summer. I know it's not really a huge luxury, but I love it, it makes me feel good when my toes look pretty

Re: What's your one "luxury" in life?
Jeans.....I don't buy them that often but when i do I buy a designer pair that costs about 150-200. Just got a new pair last week. I wear them out all the time so that is how i justify it. Also, i rarely spend a lot of money on other things...shoes, bags, etc.
I've cut back a lot of luxury's in my life since the boys came. No more cleaning lady, no more lawn guy, no more wraps for my nails, no more highlighting....but i can't seem to give up the jeans.
