what table food are you feeding 9month
DS will be 9 months and he's REFUSING baby food. He'll have about 2 spoonfuls and then start blocking his mouth and crying hitting my hand. Breakfast isn't a problem because I've been giving him mini pancakes (plus there are so many other "soft" posibilities).
What do you give for lunch/dinner? Anyone else experiencing this?

Re: what table food are you feeding 9month
I give her peas, corn, cheerios, banana and other fruit, macaroni, small bits of chicken, other steamed soft vegetables cut up into small pieces (carrots, potato, broccoli, cauliflower, squash, etc), chicken and stars soup, pea soup, small bits of cheese or grilled cheese.
Pretty much anything I eat- I just make sure it's not too hard or hot or spicy.
I've found that if I put some cheerios or puffs on her tray that she can eat with her hands, I can also get her to open her mouth for some purees.
HTH
PS- DD is 8.5 months and has 4 teeth- 2 top/2 bottom
ETA: I've also tried farina with a touch of syrup and oatmeal

i also give cheerios and the puffs...i don't know why i'm so hesitant on giving him other foods. i think its because i feel he's not eating enough.
he only has his 2 bottom teeth but it teething SO bad...i wish the others would cut throw quickly.

Re: what table food are you feeding 9month
I started when DD only had 2 teeth (the top 2 JUST came in last week). Just cut things up small and only give soft foods. As long as you are watching him- he'll be fine. They use their gums to mash things

DS is 8 months old and I give him tiny pieces of chicken and beef, pasta, soups (he likes lentil & chicken noodle), squash, carrots, zucchini, sweet potatoes, corn, bananas, avocado, cut up pieces of grape, peaches, pears, apples, etc. puffs, biscuits and yogurt. He only has his 2 bottom teeth but will mash things up with his gums.
