what projects are you working on?

after a summer of not doing any projects we are back on a roll.

1) DH is finishing up the pantry closet we've been talking about doing forever-hopefully it will be done tomorrow.

2) We bought new flooring for the guest room(its crappy laminate now) we were able to get wide plank white oak for a great price, I'm hoping to install it this weekend.

3) DH finally bought the materials to build the custom shelving for my office/craft room, today I've got to empty the room out so he can work in there soon.

4) The picket fence DH bulit for our backyard is done, just has to be painted.

5) finally after 4 years we figured out how we want to redo our main staircase & we are starting to buy the materials.

that's about it, but I'm psyched.

1) getting blinds for our bay window
2) pciking out curtains to be made for the dining room
3) laying down a temporary kitchen floor b/ the lineolum that is on there now is gross
4) painting kitchen
5) ripping out all bushes in front and back of our house.
6) replace basement windows
7) paint bathroom

No order but this on the list and is getting started soon

we bought tile for the downstairs bath and a glass shower enclosure (its a stand up shower).

1) Digging up large weeds (they didn't weed out any of their maple or oak saplings and now they are huge).

2) Replacing screen doors.

3) Ripping out paneling in basement.

4) Replacing blinds in office.

5) Fixing up basement closet to make it a pantry/storage area.

6) Hanging decorations up on the walls.

Finishing the kitchen...FINALLY

Need to finish painting the walls and moulding...closet doors...in fact, ALL the doors

Next I will be working on getting window treatments for the bow window...two years with paper shades are enough

Oh, and hopefully will be planting mums this weekend!

OOOO so many

We FINALLY have toilets!! Both bathrooms are almost done

We just got done painting the bathrooms, bedrooms and hallways

Saturday the bay window is finally coming and Mon the floor in the DR should be finished then we can paint those rooms

Kitchen is next (we are really only painting at this point)

Doors have to be put up including new front door

Then moldings, rugs and MOVE IN!!!!!

I have to take some pics, but here's what we've done

1. Painted the MBR and Spare room
2. Had the floors finished

What we are working on now:

1. Paint the living room, dining room and hall way
2. Put up the chair rail in the front entryway
3. Put up wainscoting in the hallway
4. Put up crown moulding in the LR/DR


What I want to do over the next few months
1. Paint 1/2 bath and wainscot
2. Get shutters for front of house
3. Do a serious yard clean-up

-- Shopping for front door
-- Electrical work - pot lights in LR, switches, running wires for TV
-- Insulating & rocking
-- Shopping for TV and remainder of the surround sound system
-- Painting, base & crown moulding
-- Shopping for coffee table, 2 chairs and accessories (curtains, pillows, rug, etc)

- Installing electrical boxes in the 3 bedrooms for overhead lighting

- Installing base moulding in our bedroom
- Repainting our BR (after closet installation we need to repaint)

- Patching up nicks in the bathroom (b/c I'm clumsy )
- Installing new base moulding in bathroom

That's about it for now...lots of heavy check writing this month

Retiling the bathroom. We had water damage from a leaking supply hose to the tank. I replaced the decking, got rid of the ugly old tile (We wanted to get rid of it anyway, this was great excuse to finally do it... )
Now just have to cut the tile I bought, and lay it down.

I'll have pics when I'm done.

- window treatments for master bedroom
- new lighting fixtures for kitchen, hallways, dining room

Our bedrooms are finally done - taping and spackling was finishe yesterday so now it's time to prime and paint. That's it right now. 3 bedrooms and then onto the playroom.

We are preparing for a MEGA yard sale to get rid of most of our clutter. So, it's purging time! It's very time consuming.

We are really only working on one big progject: getting ready to redo our kitchen

We are going next week to finalize what cabinets and granite we want.

After that, we need to pick tile for the floor and backsplash as well as new appliances.

If all goes well, the actual renovation will start by October!!!!!!

1) Valances for Kitchen to match table (our table is blue)
2) Repaint Master Bathroom

That is about it. We are expecting a bit of $$$ one of these days, then we will get new countertops, sink and maybe cabinets in the kitchen.
